I used to think I had a very refined sense of humour, and that's why people never laughed at my jokes. Now I've realized that I'm just not funny.

wtf, a subjective creepiness score and no comments? that was hardly worth hanging on for! a certainly half arsed compo indeed
oh well nevermind glad there were a few entrants (and congrats to the winnah, whoever you are - dont recognise it as a CTGer?? Renoise?)
and, xa: an inspired piece of work there, should be nominated for AOTM for that. |

What were you expecting with a compo title like that m0d?
..... Either way, honourable mentions go out to the following:
Trepain: Best use of sampling
m0d: Best bastardization of a genre
Zepsi: Best use of chip sounds
Xa: Most unexpected, yet amazingly humerous entry
redheat: Best celtic romp in the woods with faeries and such which was a bit too cheery to be creepy
... in fact, for everyone who got less than about a 5-6 on my creepyness scale, here's why: I just didn't find them to be that creepy. ALL of the entries were excelent, and very enjoyable in my opinion, but not all were decent halloween material! Some of them were just much to cheery
I do have to say, however, I was still very impressed with all the entries. I don't think I've ever heard so many high quality entries in one compo! In fact, I used the rating scale I did because I was having a really hard time rating which ones I liked more. I was about ready to put them all up and go "YOU'RE ALL WINNERS!" but I figured I should stick to a somewhat ethical judging practice. I even got my girlfriend to sit through the entries and help me rate the creepyness. So, I hope my ratings haven't offended anyone, I really like all of the entries. Feel free to post which ones scared you the most!

She must really love you if you got her to listen to my track all the way through. Don't get me wrong, personally I think it's nicely done (at least for 3 hours of work) but listening to it afterwards, man I must have been feeling a little psycotic that day
Anyways, I agree with BS, there wasn't a single tune in there that was bad in my op, which is odd considering the short deadline....
To the other participants: How many hours did you spend on the trackmaking?
As I said erlier I spent around 3
