I voted for the second 80%. I agree it is pretty bad that most of the songs are rated over 7. So, if you like something, you gotta push the nine button to show that you like the song.

i think when you have some nice amount of reviews the overating is not that noticable since it becames a standartd, like that people are used to high ratings, so at this point i dont have a feeling that lots of songs are overrated, just some really obvious ones.
Well i just wanna add that 10 should not be used at all |

voted 40 cus i think that even tho there are some really poor efforts some times, (as being an artist myself) i have to say we try to entertain as best as we can, and we also try to reflect our passion for music in the tracks we make

I agreed Ace. I voted to 20%. It seems that the meaning of 'overrated' is different for everyone...

The big mistake most of the reviewers make is ignoring the rating scale .
a 6 for example is good , a 7 is also good , but if I give somone a 7 , I allready get messages that it deserves more .
A very pro studio sounding superb track which is original could have the rating 9 .
So far there are a very few of those ....... but so far I see , tracked song , that are not mastered at all , and composed in modplug with very obious and tracked samples , and barely some originallity are getting those 9's .
People should pay attention to the rating scales ....
I am not thinking it's a big deal , I just think it is a shame people just "copy" their opinions about ratings from other sites from the past , like HM or TIS, which we try to not be .... well too bad it didn't worked out from the beginning ....
Just look at the top reviewers list .... an average 6 or a low 7 is good for a reviewer .... but I see to many way too high rates there ...
Well , just think about it , and not nag me off this time

yeah exactly some people are used of high ratings and they wont like 7 even if that means that the song is good...
but i dissagree a bit with the studio quality statement for song which can get 9 then...
most of peole dont have studios so we canot expect that from them and also studio quality is different per genres, like if you have chip tune (bad example but anyway) you cant expect no special quality but it still can be worth of high rating
