For me the timbe's song is great, i like it alot and i give to it a 9.
Anyway, you say that the 9 or 10 is for a perfect song with a studio quality, but for example, you have rating the song Anoxxia - Echoes - Preview Release, 9,5 but this is a song in IT format, without mastering, is only a piano, without other instruments, the sound quality is pretty evarage, without VST, mastering, compression, etc... So where is here the studio quality and the perfect song?

You have rating 9,5 the Anoxxia's song because you like the composition and you haven't review the other things...
So your vote for that song is 9,5 only because you like it very much?
Well, my vote for timbe song is 9 because i like it a lot. |

I get a 9,5 if i put a song in tracker format? 
And why that track deserve a 9,5 if is only a piano composition and not a "perfect" song?
I know that you don't like my review method, but stop your frustrating because i don't want change my review method, i like timbe song and i give to it a 9.

I see a point separating mods from audio files. If there isn't, none of tracked songs ever reach more than 7 or 8. Many sites have renounced this and all songs are compared together no matter format. UT Sounding Board is good example.
I know (maybe) it's not good to be influenced your average given scores, but you should consider a bit of your owns, Storm ( like I and we all ) Most of us are like me, average musicians, and overrating won't really help if you like to progress. I know pretty well where I stand but if 15 years old guy has as much overrated songs like I have, what he thinks? Do you think he knows it's just overrated? I doubt that... Not to mention all downloaders who don't get what they want. Downloading over 7 rated songs from here gives out mostly average pieces..........
I'm as guilty to overrating as anyone of us, it's just up to us if we like to improve this one...or is it like this coz you can't stand having 5.5 rating to your song?

Randor, you are very very right. It is a very important thing to 'bring up' young musicians in the right way. If you are constantly overrated and then face the grim truth, that you're not a wonderous exception, you have to 'face yer own mediocrity'. 
About source and encoded separation... I advocate the idea of reviewing and commenting what you hear... so if a 200k mod sounds the same as a 4 meg mp3... they'd prolly get a similar rating from me. I somehow don't like the idea of rating the ability to 'minimize' a song or achieve good sound without VST and stuff... I review music after all, whatever ways lead to a good listening experience, should be rewarded - the final effect matters, not the underlying idea how to achieve it.
