To quote a part of a post I made in another thread.
...Something I'd love to see (some people is probably not gonna like this idea, but I have to say it) is this:
The option to upload more stuff than music to your artist page. Games / flash games / flash animations / art (assuming you have webspace for it).
Imagine if games, flash stuff, and art could be posted under your artist page too (assuming you have your own webspace for it). CTG could turn into a community for more than just music, it opens up for a whole lot of co-ops between musicians/animators, musicians/game developers, and larger creations than just songs or albums could be released that involves a lot of people in the community.
Okey, I already know a lot of you won't like that idea. As a game developer, I would though, because the help I have got from here is priceless Besides, a whole lot of us create different stuff than just music, and being able to post that would be great.
The thing is, as it is now it feels like the CTG community is surprisingly small. In almost every conversation the same names appear. It's such a large website for such a few active forum members...

I'd not do it like that.
CTGMusic, has the word music in it, and by allowing all kinds of stuff on your artist page, it would step away from its original concept, and I even think it will scare away the few members that are left.
There's this topic that Novus made, and in it you can read that the community became this small, because the original concept changed. Changing it again, will probably attract members, but most likelly will it scare other members off.
If you do want to pursuit an action like this, then seperate that part from CTGMusic so that the Music part itself stays the same. People can use their login, to login to CTGArt or so, so they can have a link to their CTGArt page, if they have any.
Same community, same people, but no danger in scaring of the people that do not want to mess with the rest. If you start adding Art in the page as a showcase, people are going to be forced to add art themselves, and thats a bad thing.
You can ask me hundreds "why don't you" questions, answer will be, because it works that way too. - xTr1m |

The idea is nice, but in reality it may make things too messy and besides not many people here do smth besides music.

Well, I guess there's no reason to change CTG. However, if there is some sort of combined community for music/art/games I'll definitely join that

I really like that idea, Nifflas!
CTG_Art why not? It would perhaps attract
many different people to the site, who are
performing a variety of artforms, from poetry
and proze to film, animation and graphical art.

| I like the idea but I do wonder if it's possible it would actually work. |

I love this idea
To make it in function is something webdesigners has to make, it isn't impossible. Just some open mind and imagination |
