Hey!
Many of you have listened to my tunes. Are there any tunes which you actually listen for enjoyment?
You see - I myself often stumbled upon very well made tracks. Usually I'd say - "wow! sounds really good!" However, I won't actually listen to these track, I'd rather would go and turn on [whatever music I listen].
I've been receiving good ratings and positive comments throughout my Internet music career, however I was rarely on charts and I was never considered a known musician. This made me think that possibly my music is well made but not really enjoyable.
I ask this not to boost up my ego and awaiting answers like "No, your music's cool!". I ask this because maybe your answers and opinions will help me locate a new direction in my music. I aim to compose music that people would actually want to listen like they listen to professional bands, for their enjoyment. I wouldn't want to continue making music that noone cares for.
Thank you!

The Breeze Dance really stands out on it's own. The other songs are cool (the ones I've heard), but more in the background music kind of way... Which also has a purpose btw, you don't always want the music to get too much attention.

Well you know in a community like this, you often try out new genre's, listen to random people and hopefully find something cool, new and refreshing to work for you, but often you'll find it sound okay, but nothing to keep in your playlist for too long over stuff you really love with all your heart already
To me there are only few CTG artists I keep digging up from my hard drive again and have running in background for inspiration or enjoyment, but sadly you're not among those. On the other hand I haven't heard all of your tunes yet, so it might still happen
I do think everyone can make it a general advice when aiming for being listened for enjoyment by more people, to keep working on the balance and structure of your mixes and stick to an overal level of loudness. Lazy listeners don't like to tune winamp with every song and if there is an annoying sound in the mix, a song will become irritating soon no matter how cool it is done from artistic point of view. I've had songs I really loved here at CTG, but simply never have in my playlist because of some annoying sound
Just a comment on what maybe could make at least a point of focus to stick with in all new productions.

Well, I like some of your tunes, but they are not my cup of tea so I don't have them in my playlist. Listen a few times, then get forgotten in my HD. I think I am also that type of an artist too.

Nice stuff, guys. I agree that some things, like a detail in arrangement or a quiet sound can actually make the track much less enjoyable, even if you have good music there. Those details mean a whole lot.

speaking more generally, i don't agree about the details... sure it's important, but what's really important (to me) is the big picture. an instrumental track would have to be pretty darn good (and not boring) for me to put it in my playlist. vocals and lyrics are great for making your music more accessible to simple minded people like me. so start singing louigi! and that goes for everyone else too.

The only song of you I would listen to more often is "The Land Of My Dreams", because of its powerful melodies and harmony, and thats what I like most in music. But that's just me. I think that everyone has a different taste, and its based upon that in how they organize their daily playlist.
