You could make a nice non-squelchy bass and then use a separate resonant filter plugin to add just the right amount of squeal to it.
What a coincidence indeed.

Yup, and there's that. But it's hard to get that 303 filth in there without a 303.
Maybe a wet distortion and a flanger could work, but that's very drum&bass.

Rebirth is your best option... it's the closest to the original sound as it was written using circuit modeling from the original TB303.

It also emulates the 808 and the 909, but they're kinda wimpy sounding though :(

computer music magazine gives one away each month on their cover dvd (along with about 20 other vsts) called cm303 which i use quite often.
