Well, you said you'd sell in summer. Who knows, maybe you'll bounce back until then and change your mind, but I'm not even gonna bother counting that option. 14 years is too hard a blow, that's for certain. So certain, that nobody can have any doubt.
I'm gonna miss your stuff, Eth. You did some pretty cool hard rock and other stuff.

First of all, you have my full sympathy after what happened.
But now that this crash made 14 years worth of music disappear, isn't it too bad if you let the crash make the next 14 years worth of music disappear as well? Or the next 28 years, 56 years, whatever? The sooner you get back, the lesser the damage, altghough I understand it's hard to find the motivation now. But at least don't rush selling that equipment.
What a horrible night to have a curse.

Oh man, this sucks!!!
Still hoping you wont give up just yet, there's plenty of things to discover in world of music and it has given you another change I know, I am incurable optimist and that, if anything, would annoy you at this very moment. Still I had to say that...... I'm aware of the amount of these 14 years, preferably not but there's no alternative. Vast most of my old projects has disappeared, some time ago I count it must be over 70% that has gone since my old amiga doesn't work and storage disks are unreadable....also quite a some unfinished tracks disappeared due to my old computer crashing down.
Ofcource this didnt happen in one second as you lost them. .... |

"What does not kill you, makes you stronger."
I am felling very sad. Just, try to take the time to recover from this. Once you're musician, you never go back to the emptyness of the music producing. And can we add that you are a fantastic musician? Fo sho, truth speaks through what you've done since years.
You just have all of my support, I know how hard it can be.
Cheers my mate

God have a plan for you, so don't give up man, music is not the most important thing in life ( hopefully ). Maybe your life was too much dependend on music. God is fighting for your soul, so respond Him.

Remember that you just lost your work, not your musical skill which you have been developing for 14 years. I personally don't look back on my previous work a lot. In fact, if they all disappeared now, I'd still get back up and pretty quick to continue with my new projects.
Perhaps you need to start an entire new musical project? An album? Something big, and something that's new to you, yet something you can finish in one year or less.
As I see it, it was once neat that one of my songs could get 100 downloads a few months after I had uploaded it. However, my games can now get far more than that in one single day, and even if everything I have previously created suddenly disappears, I know I can create something new and get an even bigger audience. Not only that, I have also gained the experience from my previous projects to create things that's better, more beautiful, and express me more. I think you should try to think the same way. You constantly evolve and get better at what you do. 14 years of musical experience is not to be underestimated, and will eventually lead you to a breakthrough - if you just don't give up now. You have only lost your previous work, except the ones you released online. Your decision to give up or not is however a question about your future (and much better) productions.

Totally agree! 14 years is a loooooong time, mate, but you still have your talent. And no computer/hard disc crash can take that away from you... Apart from that, you're still young... You can make twice as many tunes and far more better, have no doubt about it!
When something ends, something new begins... A new circle of life/creation in your case...
