Most music programs aren't free. I suppose fruity costs about 150 euro's, but you still need samples and plugins to get it to work.

That sux ... and it costs too much to buy it anyway |
Well what do you want?! Next thing you'll ask is - how to do music without actually doing music? ))) Don't be offended, but getting into producing music is a loooong process and requires both money and time

Indeed. Making music is a really long learning progress. Dont be depressed if your music doesn't sound anything like dj pavo's stuff within two years.

uhm, even when you make music during boredom, then you're still and artist. But anyway, if you dont intend to make proper music then try 'ejay'. I mean, all the work that you are going to do sounds shit, but atleast you're done in 5 minutes.
Cheers

and who's dj pavo?

Some really bad, but popular hardstyle dj in holland. In the netherlands everything with a baddass basskick is popular, I happen to know the names ..

There are many completely viable and FREE tools out there for your to use, modplug is one of them for instance, however there isn't any "hardstyle NOW!" application which is geared specifically towards hardstyle in particular.
however, try these free programs:
* modplug
* milkytracker
* madtracker
They're not up to par with the best of the best programs, but they're free and they do work to create at least a decent song. Samples can be found online aswell, and VSTI's and VSTs are free aswell, I for example haven't used a commercial VSTI or VST yet, and I don't plan to ever either.
Now, as you've realized, I haven't incorporated links, this is so you can do a little bit of work on your own, make no mistake, if you want a be a musician, it's going to take alot of hard work, but if you like it , it'll be incredibly fun work!

I might suggest Tunafish, which is quite fine for very cheap, and has an interface which will be familiar to you if you ever switch to a more advanced sequencer.
What a coincidence indeed.
