Yeah, it's really twisting my dreads! Here's why:
You get this e-mail notification that you have got a new comment. Fine.
You click the link to read the comment. Fine.
You need to write your login and password and click "Sign In". Fine.
"You need to be logged in to do that"? WTF? I need to be logged in to MySpace to be able to log in? That's just pure luny talk...
So I log in, yet another time, and then I can read the darn message.
But to reply to it? Is that an easy job? noo. you need to, at least what I know, log into the MySpace page of the person in question, find the little button where you can add him or her a comment and then you are almost done.
But heeey! I dunno how it got so big with these user hostile structures...

You are absoloutely right there, 1up.
However, I am simply a MySpace whore, so it makes no odds to me
In any event - I'll still be out there selling my arse to the highest bidder.

Stuff like this gets big, because it's there at the right place, at the right time, even if something better is around the corner and a week earlier (or later).
If people can live with the mess, it'll stay populair because it is, well.. Populair... I think this'll hold true to a lot of things. Can apply it to hamburger dining bars, dance parties and music charts, computer operating systems, music format and carriers, community websites like myspace or CTG, and maybe it even holds true with someone's girlfriend.
