Now, you must not take this thread lightly.
Sure, we have all seen some stinkers in our time.
I have lost count of the mindless American 'comedies', rom-coms and action films that are all clones of each other (but with different celebrities).
Try to put these aside unless there was one that stuck out. For at least they all provide a purpose and are in some way relatively entertaining.
The worst film I have seen in my entire life.....and I have seen some stinkers.... the worst film ever, that made me almost gag with despair......is...
....
The Chronicals of Riddick.
It's as if some kid graduated from doing a City&Guilds in Film Studies and decided he knew how to make a good film.
Awful, awful script, terrible story, yet somehow overblown to be some sort of political, avant garde new-wave 'deep' action film.
Now, Pitch Black was OK! Not great, not bad, just average in my opinion. But Riddick was without a doubt....the worst film I have ever had the misfortune to watch.
It's like David Lynch's Dune meets Stargate meets The Hobbit but with a bald muscular shit actor to compliment a shit story.
And thats that.

95% of the film was just blank black screen 
stupid teenagers screaming for nothing + bugger hanging
don't know what it was suppose to be but it sure wasn't scary or thrilling..
oh and the way it was promoted.. "yeah this is a true story, we found this videotape and we thought of putting it out as a movie"

I just thought the ending was genius. I found it really scary! But then again, that was when it first came out.. I was pretty young back then

I liked it too, but the long bit in the middle really bored me.
Worst movie? Erh... tough...
"Titanic". Singularly the worst thing loosened upon the minds and eyes of people everywhere. Plus that horrible song by the Canadian woman who should've been aborted at birth. Saw a few minutes from it in a commercial, and my mind never recovered.
"Dancer in the Dark", the sheer idea is so terrifying I never dared even poke that movie with a 10 km stick. I still value my sanity, and feel lucky I never saw it. Lars von Trier deserves severe punishment for just thinking up this shit. Why it doesn't show up on worst of lists baffles me.
Everything Michael Bay ever made. Sonofabitch.

Wow. I actually liked both Riddick movies. They were visually very pleasant. Really, if you think Chronicles of Riddick is bad, you're going to suffer from horrifying nightmares for the rest of your miserable life if you see any of these:
Manos - The Hands of Fate
Dracula 3000
Gigli
7 Mummies
Bloodrayne
Or any other Uwe Boll movie. Bloodrayne is his worst though.
And why I said "miserable life" is because your life will become miserable after you've seen any of the aforementioned movies.
And btw, how can you say Dancer in The Dark and Titanic are the worst movies ever if you haven't even seen them? I must admit, I thought Titanic was horrible, but 'twasn't *that* bad. And I haven't seen Dancer.. yet.
Some movies are so bad that they become very enjoyable and maybe hilarious but I listed the ones that are beyond that. Way beyond. They're just so horrible that they make you cry rather than laugh.
Though one might find them hilarious after smoking the green stuff.

What the worst movie is though? I don't know. It's probably one of those movies I saw that was so bad I liked it.
