Think maybe this should return?. I do, it was a nice feature of the site, that somehow got forgotten. It's nice to get an insight into the people behind the music.

I agree 100% . But unfortunately that means more work for the moderators and it could make maintaing the site more diificult. What if we could take this burden away for the moderators and administrate equally to guest and members. What if we could link reviews with the forum in a way.
One big problem with CTGmusic , is that even though review is so promoted here with the ranking system. I think that it still leaves room for improvement. Comment and reviews are too isolated and not linked with ohter pages , so that they do not become easily accessible. Why write a review for a song , when you can open a discussions? So personaly i think that comments are more important than reviews. Because they are easier to make and thus there is a bigger chance that someone will comment on a song than review it.
Ok now here what I think:
what if there was a way that you can commen but automatically open new threads , simultaneously, which will be a copy of the comment. So you will simultaneously create a comment and a new thread. Or a new reply if the Thread already exists. Now these threads wont belong to the SPAM section but in a special section called REVIEWING forum, so that it could be show on the main page. Also song should use , more tags to define characteristics of the uploaded song. That could generate links to apropriate threads and replies, or uploaded songs.
This way guests who visit the site the first thing that see entering the site will be that forum-discussion where people will discuss the latest cool songs. That will motivate alot of guests and members to participate , create friendships, and strengthen the community.
Sorry if my idea does not sound , very practical but I though I should try, since there so many people inside here that they do really care for the fututre of CTG.

I shall see what I can do then  . Is there a straight forward list somewhere where I can see who has already been AOTM, rather than scour over old features?. If so, please send to me... as I dont really want to do the same people over and over .

There are so many things that would be cool on this site, but is there enough people to actually do things?
AOTM would be a great thing to have back here, since I like to read stuff about people as well. How they have started producing and so on.
Another thing, which I kind of miss, is the radio. Too bad that didn't happen

As it happens, I was the last Artist of the Month.
Sadly, my interview was never completed.
I have to say, the sudden cut off mid way did piss me off, particularly having my messages and e-mails ignored when I tried to find out why, and it certainly jaded my involvement here at CTG.
I hope you make a better job of it this time around. |
