When out of inspiration, a drumloop can be nice to start with. Then you can remove it later. I don't mind chopping up drumloops.

Humm, I use loops ( drums, sequencers) frequently together with self-made tracks. It's like givin more depth to now and then, you don't necessarily recognize it's loop but it's there, in the backround. Shitty sample CD's are usually filled with crappy loops, I make my loops mostly myself and tweak 'em around with ReCycle and Dr.Rex in Reason. You can create some unbelievable effects with loops
So I don't think it's lame to use, it's a matter HOW you use.......

What's wrong with drumloops, proffesional dj/producersuse them to. And eh, if you edit them al little in put them in your song playing at the background it only makes the song sounds better.

To be quite frank, i don't care at all if professionals djs and producers use them or not, I just don't want to. But it doesn't disturb me when other people do.
Only stupid believe they are stupid while they aren't. |

"Amen (my brother)" as recorded by the Winston Brothers had a short drum break in it which is sampled to death. Another famous drumloop is from "funky drummer" by James Brown.
