The reason behind the downtime is that my server was put offline only a few days before I went to holidays. Server went down on the 23rd of July at 6pm. I left for holidays on the 27th in the morning and was back on the 10th of August. I then had to find an alternative host to place my server. The server was online again on the 17th in the morning.
Previously, my server was hosted in my ex employer rack. The reason he gave me about the servers being offline is that they had been hacked. A couple of days later, he gave me my server back. I then did check it for potential intrusions. I indeed found some odd things on it (logs and command line history were erased) so I decided to make a complete re-install of it and then re-import the data. By doing that, I could get my hand on a copy of the logs I received in my mailbox and noticed that my server had not been remotely hacked, but locally (physically) accessed on the 23rd of July. So the security of my server was not in cause - but that means that my ex employer was on site on the 23rd and tried to log on my server in order to get some data out of it. So he most certainly is behind that "hacking". I don't know to what extent he was successful though. His target was most probably the i4Games website (a personal project I developed using his resources) for which he is now fighting for the complete ownership. He even threatened me to sue me for trying to steal that website out of him. If he goes further in his actions, I'll retaliate by suing him for intrusion in private property and possibly also for stealing of intellectual property.
So now, I'm totally on my own regarding the hosting and such things should not happen anymore.
I'm sorry all this happened, and that CTG Music stayed down for so long.

As a lawyer I can only advice you to sue him in case he stole or borrowed anything from you without your concent. If you do not do it now you may be unable to do it later . There is a time limit for claims in legal proceeding , this can be one year. So if it is one year you cannot come back one year later and claim the ownership of your stuff. Be careful with legal deadlines. They are the most evil trap a lawyer and a client can fall into. In any case consult an experienced lawyer even if you have no intention of suing your ex-employer.
Good to have CTG back, what I call HOME. Too bad I am lying on a beach right now at a beatiful island away from work (actually in 30 minutes from now) enjoying the summer.
