Here is a tutorial of sidechaining with FL Studio. Correct me if sidechain is the wrong word.
The idea of sidechaining is that, when Instrument 1 makes a sound the Instrument 2 volume goes down by the ammount of the volume of Instrument 1.

HTML- version of this tutorial!

This how the result of this tutorial will sound.

Looks good from what I read quickly at the first glance, though you said that it works with FL 6 ->... it works at least with FL 3, too.

Oh now that's great tutorial, I remember when I was back in the days trying to find out how to sidechain in fl didn't find any tutorials or maybe they were hidden so good or maybe they didn't want me to know. hmm.

Anyway this is what we need more, good job man.

You can get that bumpy feeling in your track. For example you sidechaing kick and bass the way when kick hits the bass goes out. It's not just kick and bass, you can use it with pads or any other sounds as well. With sidechaining you get some room into the track.

Eric Prydz - Call On Me, that's good example of sidechaining.
