Well, firstly you cant beat Monkey Island! (im selling these fine leather jackets..)
I was interested in buying Pirates remake but never got round to it when it came out so i'd be interested. Im always a sucker for the ol strategy/rpg games. I love the oldies, they seriously dont make em like they used to.
Still playing Master of Orion and Ufo:Enemy Unkown all these years later :o)

i can't be much of a help either about the new one but you can dl the old, Pirates Gold! legaly from various abandonware sites such as this one - i know, this will only help you if you are looking for the nostalgic touch  |

Well I've tried Age Of Pirates so far, and I'm not that impressed - the 3d engine sucks ass :/
