Version 2.3 of the next generation tracker MadTracker has been published this weekend. Some major improvements have been made, such as an extension to 64 tracks, track labelling, and complete compatibility with all versions of Windows.
Furthermore, facilities for registered users have been expanded with free webspace, a personal web address and an email account.

I don't want to be a smart-ass, but how can smth that's readily available be "next generation"? And that goes for renoise too!

I consider trackers like impulse, fast, scream.. to be old generation ones and mad , renoise, modplug, buzz as new generation ones... i guess it is just the case what you see under the "generation" word |

It's not the "generation" word, it's the "next" word that bothers me.

The "next generation" phrase is often used to define what is after IT2 & FT2.
I prefer this term over the "3rd generation" or "4th generation" blabla... which is plain stupid.
