I don't think that the whole idea is flawed... More simple: I've ran out of songs, so I partially lost interest in competing. Still I check the compo site and hear the music, because it's really damn good music.
I still preferred the first scheme, where all categories ran at the same time and had all the month available for voting. |

Yeah, that's the scheme I'm thinking of going back to. A lot of people SAID they liked the one-week model, but in practice it just hasn't been working out too well.

One thing I think people are missing (Novus, this is what I wrote you about) is that "scene attendance" is down overall across the board. There's less people at the Novus Compo, yes, but there's also less here and at Trax in Space. It's dramatic, too, more than 50% in all three cases.
I don't think the problem is the sites or the competitions at all, and I think it's a good idea to keep em going.
