Hi there My name is Kilon and I am Workstation-Holic. I own a Yamaha MOTIF ES6. Are there other people who prefer Workstations instead of computer software for sequencing and music production?

Why do you prefer Music Workstation when with software and hardware synths you can get really much more that a soundbank?

Good question.
The answer to this is that software heavily depends on mouse and pc keyboard which is not appropriate for music production. You can of course implement a midi keyboard and midi controller but still you will have to depend on mouse and keyboard more than you would want.
The workstation on the other hand is all you need to start making great music and all you have to do is it turn it on , choose the sound you want and hit record. It allows you to work faster and more pleasantly.
Another reason is as you said that is a soundbank , but put it diffirently , A GREAT SOUNDBANK. You wont find better presets in software and such in abig variety. Of course in Software your library can be several GBs which means more sounds and more quality especially for orchestral sounds and accoustic sounds. But sooner or later it becomes a mess. With a workstation you buy a small but excellent quality soundbank which will save you both money and time from searching your own sounds.
But overall workstations are more finely tuned for music production , having everything inside a keyboard is both a time saver , space saver and portable solution.

Too bad I have heard that SY77 does excellent fm synthesis. Guess I am the only who uses a workstation to its full capacity in this website.
OR Am I wrong?
