let us make the rules right here!
First:
We need the dimensions of the banner, some sort of template.
Slammy, do you have access to this?
Gaj Capuder may have this also, since he is Web design on the credits
Linus Ymén is on credits for menu graphic so he may have something as well.

This basic type deal that would be a good start.
Second:
I think the banner should be as versatile as POSSIBLE, meaning, from that basic type deal would be just a guideline, but the anyone is able to send in banners that could surpass those dimensions, and of course the reasonable ones would be chosen to be displayed as the banner.
This could be possible by keeping ALL BANNERS TRASPARENT so that it could actually overlap the page etc...well the possiblilites are ENDLESS.
lets get those resources yes?

Removing the headphone girl was the only logical thing to do, I don't get why this wasn't done years ago. I've always disliked random use of sexy girls to decorate websites, it's extremely cheesy. Of course, CTG still needs an entire re-design before it stops scaring people off on their first visit.
Here's a good page describing what to think about.

I have no issues with a bloke on it, I missed that out of my original post, a girl on one side and a bloke on the other, makes it more universal, the pole dancing is a little far fetched though :-/ The headphones are good as they represent music.
I've never understood the Cute Trance Girls bit, I thought someone made that up as a joke, is that really the name of the site??? I dont get why you'd limit a site to just trance and just girls when setting something up
Not such a big fan of 'celebrate the great' I know I'm not a massive contributer here but I dont come here to celebrate anything really.
I think we should pitch words in, I like the words
Colaborate, Community
and
Genre, Group
They are more relevant to the site I feel...? Just cant think if a T at the moment :-/
Come ToGether Music.com as we are artists that come together to chat, discuss, review, make sarcastic comments ha etc etc
Am waffling now, we could leave it open to artisic license and see what people come up with when they enter the banner competition?? |
