They are a company that needs to grow-grow-grow. They are an expansion. I do believe a lot of that is not a conscious decision - they company just has a policy which makes it be what it is. That policy is not likely to change - money will probably be the highest priority.

It really comes to me as no surpise. What Microsoft does is usual textbook stuff for monopoly.
And of course the same tactics are followed by all monopoly companies.
Take a look at 3d graphics software, Autodesk who makes 3d Studio Max bought 2 of its biggest rivals, ALIAS MAYA and SOFTIMAGE XSI. Now it safely owns 95% of the market. Its products are going from bad to awful. Why it should care about its customers, it still makes shit load of money , and none can stop it.
I am not surprised. IT is highly unlikely that things will change. I am only pissed that is all.
