In my quest to find the best music software I am now trying to figure our Renoise. I have a VST called Steinberg Rhodes Piano.vsb ... but I can't get it to come up in the Renoise VST section. Is vsb not the right file type??? Do I have to put it in a certain place or should I just stick to MPT ?????
Help the stupid!!! |

I suggest you to use Skale Tracker..
Not only because I use it myself, but I really Enjoy using that program, the thing is just that it doesn't have VSTi support yet... But you can do like I do..
The only reason why I use Renoise is to render VSTi melodies to wave and then use it in skale, very smart..
Just my opinion, I think skale needs support by every user so I want more people to use it..

As far as I know, VSTs only use the extension .dll so the .vsb file may naturally not work. But if you've already tried the following, I suggest you post this question in the Renoise forums.
1. Place the effect file in a designated VstPlugins folder on your harddrive
2. Start up Renoise and go to the Configs tab, and then to the Misc tab
3. Either click browse if you're selecting your VST Directory for the first time, or Rescan if you want to rescan the set folder for new effects.
It actually seems to me this might be a VSTi, but the above steps should add it to the effect list too (only you may want to place it in a VstInstruments folder instead). |
