Being a web app developer, I've been using the beta for a while now. I must admit that their Firebug clone (aka IE's web developer tools) make it much better for debugging javascript and xslts. It's rendering is also much better (more standards compliant). What's funny, though, is that various Microsoft websites don't render properly in IE8. 
Personally, I'm not gonna switch from Fx any time soon, mainly because it's safer and Firebug+WebDeveloperToolbar still rule the roost when it comes to web development. It's a step in the right direction for IE, though.

I think it's still Beta and happy enough with Opera not to try it.

| I think that it's great that IE doesn't have 98% of the users any more, which makes MS try a little harder. It's too late for me though, I'm also very happy with Opera. |

Unless IE8 can offer the same diversity in functionality that firefox does with it's extensions system, I obviously won't switch. Instead, I'm such an evil asshat that I'll probably just gloat at all the obvious crap that this new version will force web developers to code around 
(IE CSS hacks ftw!)

Chrome sux! I hate the design
And firefox can't handle certain internet pages. Sux too.
Really in the end IE will always be the best browser. I'm glad I am using it.
