Yes, to me too. Beautiful looks, but not very usable. It might help if you used FT2, but it's not enough.

If you try it out for some weeks you'll notice that it isn't so bad at all..
The program is just like ft2 but with more features.. trust me.. I changed my opinion about it when I started to use it..

Open your mind dude
I was really sad when I was forced to leave good ol' ft2 and start using a Windows prog... that was real pain, i hated windows proggies. back then... and now...? it's hard to get used to the ft2-like interface anew...
Peth, but you do realise it's still at the beta stage...? |

its going to be really hard to shift to something like that, and madtracker, i don't like that much either, even tho its window based. cuz its in the ft2 format. Besides, i don't track no more, so yeah fruity all the way!

No, you didn't get my point.
Each new interface is confusing at first, but once you get used to it, it becomes obvious and intuitive pretty quickly. I had that with MPT. I really didn't want to start using it, with its windows interface, but today (as I'm leaving MPT this time), I feel it's a very nice and practical tool. Old shoes fit best, but it's not a reason never to buy new ones.
What's more, the interface you liked so much before becomes confusing then, as you switch your mind to the other one. Old programs seem hard to handle even if you used them for years in the old days (and liked them).
Conclusion: matter of time; not even much time. So if you say: I prefer this, I say: how come you prefer this if you haven't really tried that?
Ok ok ok
I don't wanna convince anyone I'm not using Skale either in fact, as I don't track much any more either. |
