(Original Design)
The logo was submitted as part of the CTG Logo Contest it was chosen as the best design out of 4 other entries, but more importantly:
This marks the initial development of a CTG Banner exchange system. Essentially, one in which a new CTG Logo will be picked from user-submitted designs every so often later to be displayed as the CTG Banner.

Actually, I think it's been a misunderstood with banner size. You didn't count on Google Ads, and now the banner is cut off.
For future CTG Logos I would change the template to fit the required size.

I will have to agree.
I think it lost its previous sex appeal. And like it or not , music and sex appeal go hand in hand.
Of course the banner is not bad at all.
By the way why the colors look more vibrant on NAPUZ post and less on top of the page ?

| Napuz posted my original submission, which as PLUKS mentioned, was not designed with the google ads in mind, otherwise i would have shrunk CTG and stuck "music community" underneath it. Apparently Napuz edited the colors so they would better reflect the current website style. |

Yes, Blackhole is right, I did fiddle with the hue, a tad, to match that of CTG layout.
Also, if you look at "CTG Music" between the "G" and the "M", I put extra space between so that when a google add is displayed the "M" of music won't be sticking out.
I don't know if anyone can see the entire logo (I have add block plus haha!) but I also added the "face" of the original CTG banners, except I inverted the colours. To my pleasant surprise the text "community" of blackhole's design layered perfectly over "community" on the "face"
I like kilon's idea of "Sex Appeal" because it was scientifically proven that the amount one enjoys music is directly proportional to the amount one enjoys sex. KILON I AM NOW EXPECTING YOU TO SUBMIT A BANNER  (haww haww)

I should add, Blackhole:
One thing I really enjoy about your design is how you kept the "horizontal lines" yet put a fresh almost 3D twist on them.
I also like the glass gleaming look.
also, I have been dying to find out: does the oval shape represent anything in particular?
