Bypass a sub if you have one? There's no point in that imo. If you have the crossover and volume balance between the two set up correctly, why disable it while mastering? The point of a sub is to extend the low frequency response of your main speakers, so why not use it if you have one and your mixes contain bass-heavy material? :lovemusic:

Anyways, I'm 21. :cowboy:

Btw, mastering isn't as hard as it may seem. Just read some online articles and practise, practise, practise. That's the best advice I can give really.

Heh, I ment if you start mastering, how you can really be sure that your sub ain't have a terrible bassboost ? I concern it to Szartd's issue of those amplifier settings, all must be neutral for the proper result ;) Subwoofer's (especially in those stereopack's ) have usually strongly boosted sound....:cowboy:

Ooops, enough odff-topic :D I'm STILL 30!!

You just must not use a subwoofer at all when u compose music , maybe to listen , but not when u compose/mastering .
2 descent speakers connected to a good amplifier will do the trick !

Never heard one of your try outs then , just plain wavs from it/buzz (turned into mp3 off course) , if nobody knows what u do or what u understand at THIS point , then it is a little hard to help you !

One thing is for sure , just anoying people by msn , and asking to the same way more then once isn't help alot , doing it meight be good .... everybody learns as long as they practice .

You don't give a clear view of what u understand , or what u do now .... u just say u don't understand it all , or don't know how to do .

So no , no hard feelings , but u gotta understand that people are not always wanna help new guys when they don't do enough re-searsh by themselves .
