I guess there is no way to contact Mr. Simon Ravn to clear everything? Why don't you suggest such a thing AlphaHelix? Because the community is too stupid for you to bother, you'd rather throw some fucks at the people? Or maybe you're not Colin Ravn?

It's not a place and time for childish jokes or resent. The situation looks bad, you should realise this unless you're dumb, and you might show some good will to prove you're innocent instead of behaving like a spoiled kid. Given you _are_ innocent of course... :/

Recently he posted this track as his latest achivement: traveller.mp3 but this song can be also found here : The Traveller and it was made by musican called "Simon Ravn" which obviusly is not same guy as AlphaHelix.
And to add even more, AlphaHelix have also created another account Halcyon whos songs he reviewed as AplhaHelix, so he basicly reviewed his own stolen music.

well, what I can say about all this stuff is that there is quite a big difference between AlphaHelix's music and the musical culture he proves to have while making a review.
Probably the review I had from him sucked so much because he was on an hurry to achieve the honour of being Reviewer of the Month.. who knows..
his review does suck not because of the global vote, but because of what he wrote: he described some bass sections as an "offtune guitars which make me puke", while they are made with the same bass samples of the rest of the song so they just CAN't be offtune.
He also described Kontakt as a "synth which is 100 time worse than Kompakt", while Kompakt (the name says it all) is basically Kontakt with a bundled library, support for Kontakt format and less ability to modify them. A ready-to-use Konakt, then.. a "Kontakt for Dummies"
But most important.. both are samplers, not synths...
in 10 years of musicmaking I've surely seen worse reviews, but of course far better ones.
for those who are interested in the review: here it is (sorry for this self-advertise  )
So before complaining about this with him, I downloaded some songs from him.
Very good ideas, but sometimes a bad implementation: no dynamics at all, horrible percussions (he described my drumlines as "decent".. if you know me a little, you know how much care I give to drumlines, being a drummer..).
I've been of course unlucky with song picking, despite of him saying "this is my best song!", and he has surely made something better than what I've listened to..
So please if anyone could suggest me some songs by AlphaHelix, I will be very glad to listen to them. PPH would be a good guide trough them because I think he's a reasonable guy (apart from his last post    ) [edit: SORRY: the post was not by PPH, instead is by Storm3003, apologize me PPH  ] and also has some good skills.
But anyway all of this make me doubt a little about AlphaHelix's real skills; now I see I'm not the only one.
Nothing more than a doubt, though. I'm llooking forward to see an happy end to this episode because I think noone likes to see another ripper around 
my respect goes to everyone who posted objective and calm posts, and I hope there will be less freaking and more arguments about this thread now on. |

Things inside "INSPIRED" folder are lightyears ahead of
everything else.... how come?
