Hey all, I just registered and I'm looking forward to getting to use this place. Before here my music was HQ-ed at Newgrounds which wasn't working out due to the fact that Newgrounds is a chiefly flash site. Thus their site programmers didn't give much thought to the audio portal and the composers got the short end of the stick.
Anyways, I've got some music I'd like to post as well as a few covers; my question is, what exactly is the required format to post covers? The terms and conditions on the add song page says, "If your song is a remix, please use the following format: 'Original author' - 'Original song title' ('your artist name' remix) " Thus if I am posting a cover of a rockman exe 5 piece, I assume I'd write:
Song title: Nebula Gray Fight (SoulRed12 Cover)
Artist: A. Kaida
Correct? Or should I keep my name under artist...? Finally, I assume that even if I type a different name in the artist textbox, it'll still show up somewhere/somehow as having been composed by me?
Thanks for any info. Looking forward to uploading my stuff here and listening to what's already uploaded. |

Yeah, that's basically what your write.
Technically the artist name will be different, but if someone clicks on it they will end up on your artist page. So, I guess the answer to your second question is also yes.
The modern world is only endurable in small doses.

Yeah that's right. I doesn't really matter either way. Just make sure you have the original artist name mentioned.
